SCHOOL STREETS 
School Streets create a safer, healthier, and more welcoming environment for our children. By temporarily closing the road outside the school to motor traffic during drop-off and pick-up times, we give pupils the freedom to walk, cycle, or scoot safely without the dangers of busy traffic.

How It Works
- The road outside the school is closed to motor traffic for up to 45 minutes, twice a day, during term time only.
- Residents and emergency vehicles still have access, so the closure is safe and practical.
- Volunteers help manage the closure and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Why We Need Your Support
To keep School Streets going, we rely on volunteers. We hope to organise a rota so each volunteer only supervises once a week. The more people who join, the easier it will be for everyone—and the greater chance we have of making this initiative a success.
Extra Support for Volunteers: If you’re able to volunteer, the school is happy for your child(ren) to go into class earlier while you supervise the road closure. This means you can help without worrying about your child being late.
