YOUNG LEADERS
At Wilson Primary School, we believe that every child has the potential to lead, inspire, and make a positive impact. By nurturing leadership skills from an early age, we empower our pupils to take responsibility, build confidence, and develop a strong sense of community. Through a range of opportunities we are helping our young leaders grow into thoughtful, resilient individuals who are ready to shape a better future.
School Council
Elected by their peers, our School Council members represent the voices of all pupils across the school. They meet monthly to discuss important issues and exciting projects, which may include improving school facilities, organising fundraising events, planning competitions, and writing bids to secure additional funding.
The Council listens carefully to the thoughts, suggestions, and ideas of their classmates, ensuring that pupil voices are heard and valued by staff. Through collaboration and creativity, they help make our school an even better place to learn, grow, and thrive.
World Friendship Ambassadors
Our World Friendship Ambassadors are pupil mentors who champion kindness, equity, and belonging across our school community. These proud young leaders are skilled communicators and empathetic changemakers, dedicated to fostering a culture of friendship and inclusion. Through their actions and voices, they are helping to shape a school environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. At Wilson Primary, we believe the voice of the child matters—and our ambassadors play a vital role in amplifying it.

Junior Active Leaders
Our Junior Active Leaders are enthusiastic pupils from Years 5 and 6 who help promote a happy, healthy, and active ethos across the school. Trained through a dedicated leadership course, they take on the responsibility of leading playground games and activities, encouraging inclusive play and positive social interactions with minimal supervision. These young leaders serve as confident, independent role models and activity ambassadors, inspiring their peers to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy playtime in a safe and supportive environment.
