Berkshire Maestros

We work with Berkshire Maestros, the lead organisation of the Berkshire Music Hub, to provide music opportunities for our children.

Berkshire Maestros deliver music sessions to our resource base children on a weekly basis. Music and sound are the starting point, with workshops centred around communicating both musically and socially. Through a student led approach, the sessions develop week on week, allowing students to work on musical aspects such as rhythm, singing and call and response.

Berkshire Maestros also deliver a whole class instrumental project to Year 5 through the In2Music projects. This enable EVERY child in Year 5 to experience the benefits of playing a musical instrument, which this year is the Violin.

Berkshire Maestros also deliver a one off live music session that is drawn from different traditions and from great composers and musicians. The groups give a 40 minute interactive performance to a year group and provide an opportunity for children to be inspired to take up learning an instrument.

We feel music plays a huge part in children's development, and by supporting Berkshire Maestros we are helping children to develop confidence, self-esteem and a life-long love of music.
